Okay, anyone who knows me in real life knows this looks exactly like me. Isn’t it great? I stumbled upon Carolyn Nowak’s tumblr a few weeks ago and loved the portraits she’d done of some of her readers so much that I asked her to do one of me. The background was inspired by the trinkets and tchotchkes I wrote about in White Elephants — and of course there’s a real elephant in there too. What fun!
