Okay, this book is fantastic. It’s a YA book I read to review it for the Inquirer and I don’t want to give too much away, but I do want to recommend it to you. It’s one of the rare books I read for work that I continued to read at like, bedtime, because I wanted to. I got all excited when I saw a still from this trailer, thinking they’d made a movie out of it, but no, book trailers are a thing now.
Oh god actual high school English teachers are having kids read Gatsby and then tell them unironically what their "green light" is :( :( :( →
Oh dear. I can’t remember if my high school English teacher taught this novel badly or not, but it definitely wasn’t THIS stupid. It’s gettin scary out there, folks.

My review of Beth Kephart’s new YA novel is in today’s Inquirer. I loved the book. I’ve read a few of Kephart’s other books and they are always so beautiful. This one transcends both its subject matter (historical fiction about a young teenage boy in 1870s Philadelphia) and genre, but she deals with both effectively. It reads like a classic, and I highly recommend it for readers of all ages.
Come to my reading in NYC why dontcha. Starring me, photographer Annie Soga, and writers Betsy Housten and Eryn Loeb. Beautiful flier by the beautiful Noelle Geniza.
I think of the novelist as a houseguest. The poet is more someone who just appears.

Oooooh that’s good.
The only real access that I have to my mind is when I’m writing.

Who did I lend my Nicole Georges book to? Was it you, J? I’m seriously asking you, tumblr friends, did I give it to any of you? UNIVERSE! Where did it go?

@expectedguest!
There’s an excerpt from my memoir in the current issue of my college’s alumni magazine, The Pennsylvania Gazette, and it’s accompanied by this beautiful illustration by Emily Sutton. Nice!
